My grandmother honored me with the traditional Oneida name, Yakowanawahstu , which means She Speaks Good Words. Reflecting upon our Haudenosaunee values of peace, power and righteousness as the means to become, “of one mind”, I know I must carry my name with integrity so I can help to guide others. Inspired by her wisdom, I named my company Good Words Consulting to embody these principles in every aspect of my work to establish meaningful communication that is deeply rooted in ethics and in our culture.
